MGB Pages

I bought two cars to use for parts to fix the 1980 MGB after the fire.  There is a 1979 in decent shape (no motor) and a 1978 in basket case condition, but it has some good parts left.

Here's the nicer of the two cars, the 1979 (the hardtop was mine; it came with a torn soft top):

A nice clean interior always looks good:

There are a lot of items (such as the music stand) that really don't belong:

A lot of good parts in the trunk:

This is the drivers side wheel arch.  Not bad:

The left side had been eaten away:

Lots of room for the engine:

The second parts car, the 1978,  is in rough shape:

You didn't realize that a few cars were built with rear engines:

Here's the transmission - Overdrive, maybe, or decoy?

There's a lot of room with the silly engine and transmission out of the way:

The electrical side looks much better than mine, so it's going to be the one.

I managed to salvage a number of parts from the two cars (including a hood that matched my paint pretty well) to make it much easier to repair my car after the fire. When we were putting our house on the market, my wife thought that perhaps having two parts cars hidden in the woods would not positively impact our house's marketability, so she suggested that they be removed. I took as many parts as I could easily remove, and after trying to sell the cars on eBay and offer them for free to the local MG community, I took them to a junkyard (one that didn't require titles or proof of ownership). Gone, but not forgotten.
